CWS EMBRACES VIRTUAL REAITY

Staff and students in History and Geography classes have been a part of a pilot project in bringing Virtual Reality to the classroom.  Virtual Reality allows students to visit places without ever leaving Orillia Secondary School.  Students have participate in traveling to Vimy Ridge, exploring a Syrian Refugee camp, create their own VR tours, and become their own travel agents.  VR brings to life our world and we are excited to be promoting this approach to learning in our classrooms. 

YOUTH PHILANTHROPY INITIATIVE (YPI)

Spring 2020
Students in Grade 10 Civics will participate in the YPI program in which students will choose a non-profit organization to research and connect with.  The idea is to have students give back to their community and to understand the importance of philanthropy.
